    Apps for fitness

What applications for smartphones Apple / Android do you use for fitness classes? How effective are they and what applications you would recommend?

People were getting fit long before any app was invented. I recommend you stop focusing on BS, and start moving.

    You are right!
I've been doing in the gym, I'm tired to write on a piece of paper. I am looking for a good app. I found two interesting Apps is JEFIT and FitnessDROID in Google Play. I do not know which one is better.

I have had JEFIT Pro for a while and like it. It allows for custom exercises etc. Pretty simple, and for my purposes, that is what I wanted. I am the type that always kept a log, so this just allows me to carry one less thing to the gym as I use my phone as an MP3 player while I am at the gym anyway.

There's an app called Dumbbells that just allows you to track your lifts per exercise per day

I recommend you leave your cell phone in your car, and focus on lifting a little more weight than you did the last time you were in the gym.

    But that's just me.

I have MyFitnessPal, 1RM, BigLiftsPro, Tabata Timer, Interval Timer, and a couple other fitness-related apps on my phone, but I rarely use any of them. If you're a calorie counter, MFP is a great one.

I've been using JeFit for a couple years and have liked it. Also, I recently started using an app called "Lose It" to track nutrition.

BigLifts for android is really Wendler's 5/3/1, it's my favorite app and it's extremely useful for tracking progress. When I first downloaded it, it was actually called Wendler's 5/3/1 but they must have ran into copyright issues when people found out what it was. Fantastic powerlifting program!

I use gym hero on my iPad. Pen and paper works just as nice, but if he wants to use an app for his phone what's the harm?

I use Gym Guru for Android. It's a workout generator that also allows you to track your progress. The Pro version has some advanced workouts that include superset, drop sets, and rest pause sets, which is something that most apps don't have.

Also app called Jucy. None of them really fit my needs as well as a spreadsheet, mainly because you couldn't put in custom programs for future workouts.

I do like biglifts, but again is not really exactly what I want.

MFP for nutrition and any form of spreadsheet for lifts. I've tried quite a few 'tracking' apps and they're just a pain to work with.

Even better: Set yourself up a home gym and mount a whiteboard (dry erase) on the wall. Best 'app' I've ever used.

I'm sure you anyway record your weight and repetition in a notebook and you have a training program in your head. I often forget to do some exercise, and on the leaf does not want to go. Plus, I use the phone as a timer.
I do not wanna advertise the application and provide references, I chose Fitnessdroid (simple and cheep). I'll trained , and tell you about the results
