Spreading awareness for MISCers to consider organ donating.

This thread is to get people to consider donating blood, organs, bone marrow, or any other part of their body to help those in need. I hope people will really consider going down and donating.

YOU COULD SAVE A LIFE

I'm constantly bombarded with miscers saying they would donate part of their liver, or would have. I'm not too sure about this, but I want to raise awareness on those who do want to donate.

First of all, go to your local hospital and ask about donating blood. Blood is more important than you might think, and many people, children and adults, need blood. I know 2 people that have gotten blood transfusions, and are greatful for whoever's blood they got.

For organs, I suggest you go down to, again, your local hospital and find people who might need organ transplants. Now, I'm not saying donate your kidney off the bat, but there are other organs you can donate.

You can donate some skin, it will grow back for you, and can be important to saving somebodies life, like say maybe an accident victim.

Another thing you can get tested for is donating part of your liver, and this kind of donation I hold personal. You can donate part, or even half of your liver to save sombodies life. It will grow back to 100% for you, and there is a 99% survival rate for liver donation. Get tested to see if somebody needs a liver, because children and adults both need liver donations. Now, I would suggest finding children who need it and getting tested specifically for them. I know a few children with leukemia who are extremely far down the donation list because they have cancer, which means they have much less of a chance for donation, which could cost them their lives.

Another donation, and this will probably be very painful, is bone marrow. You can donate bone marrow to those who might need it, again, saving a life.

This thread is just an awareness on what kinds of donations I know are needed right now, and if you want more information I would suggest contacting your local hospital to ask about donating. You could save a child's life.

Kind of, you can call in and see if anybody needs specific donations, or go down to a blood bank.

Heard too many stories (bull**** I dont know, but) about how doctors can be evil kunts and let people of really ill health die rather than helping them just because they're a registered donor so they can use their organs.

Hope that isn't true at all but chit scares me man.

Bone marrow hurts like a mother, it's great to see you are willing to go through pain for another life.

The other thing that sort of worries me is the thought of my organs going to some junkie who will destroy them, if I died and was able to save someone with a degenerative disease that would be great, but how bad would it be for your organs to be given to someone who purposely destroyed themselves and will probably keep doing so? Not trolling btw I am serious.
