Should i fight my co-worker (srs) (advice please)

-me and dude used to be good friends
-he is my supervisor (aka not my boss but in charge of me still) he is only 2 yr older than me
-recently he has become a massive dick to me. calling me offensive names for 'banter' when from the first time he did this i firmly told him to stop, taking the piss out of me for no reason, negging me in front of female colleagues
-i dont say anything back because im too nice. however he is fat, has no aspirations, has a boring life, plays video games 24/7, **** car, lives with rents, ugly as fuk compared to me etc
-i have told him to stop being a kunt to me, at first jokingly but he continued. i got more and more serious until today when he just randomly talked **** about me in front of this girl that he fawns over (she has a bf but to be fair she is hot), and i just said to him 'dude if you give me **** once more i will knock you out' to which he goes 'good i can go home, and you'll get fired'. i reply 'not really because i can just say it was provoked from abuse' but to be honest, my boss won't belive me. everyone loves the guy. he is only an ******* to me in the company. no one else.

-i dont want to look like a pussy by going to manager
-he has 0 respect for me, and i don't know why. I thought this 'nice guy' **** was only to do with females. you can be nice to dudes surely.. I am nice to like everyone.
-i would love to beat the **** out of him. but i will probably get fired, because everyone loves him at work.

-he is one of these kunts who only certain people can see the true person. the ignorant folk just see the nice/funny outer core but below it lies a manipulative/using/untrustworthy prick

Carefull you don't go to far ie humiliate him because of his looks etc as you'll look the bad guy then in everyone's eyes. If that was me i would just go over his head to the manager and submit a formal complaint / harassment issue. of course it bothers me. in school everyone was on the same level. this dude is above me, thus he controls me. i am controlled by a person giving me ****. i look pretty big with a shirt on. i get told this quite a lot by people at work. I have never had to face someone taking the piss out of me or calling me names or whatever. I used intimidation factor alone to fight my battles for me in the past because they simply never occurred
