Welcome to the Misc Anime/Manga thread!

Feeling down? Need something to cheer you up? Look no further, brahs. There is no better antidote for the blues, than anime about cute girls! Think it's too beta or ****gy for you? Think again. Real alphaness comes from doing whatever the fuk you want. So here are a few anime I recommend to you. If you're new to anime, I urge you to not get creeped out or feel weird about watching a show about 13 year old girls. Despite my username, I'm not a fukin **** either. This kinda anime is cute, like puppies. And there's nothing wrong with puppies.


Yuru Yuri

Yuru Yuri, which roughly-translates to "Easy-going lesbianism", is a slice-of-life anime (based on a manga) about a group of middle-school girls. There are currently 2 seasons available. There isn't really any plot; it just follows their day-to-day lives. Like a sitcom, I guess. Note that there isn't any real lesbianism in the show. There are no explicit scenes to worry about, and it doesn't try to seriously tackle any questions about homosexuality. The 'yuri' in Yuru Yuri is just a running gag about the girls having innocent crushes on each other. Since this is a comedy, the enjoyment in watching YY obviously stems mainly from the humour. One of the better gags involves the main character constantly being plagued by the fact that her defining character trait is that she has no defining character traits. You will also derive enjoyment from the touching moments of friendship found throughout the show. Yuru Yuri is 'cute girls doing cute things', at its best, and I recommend this to anyone who wants to relax, or anyone who feels they need to put a smile on their dial.

Very similar to YY. GJ-Bu is a slice-of-life anime which follows the activities of the Good Job club. This is another light-hearted comedy with no serious plot. Most of the jokes here revolve around the sole boy in the group being teased by the girls. But the most notable recurring gag involves hairbrushing. Throughout the series, the girls in the club each ask the boy to comb their hair. He is apparently very good, as their reactions are... interesting, to say the least. You'll have to watch it to see what I mean. Again, this is just a nice relaxing show. The girls are all very lovely, and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like the male lead, Kyoro.

We must also acknowledge the much higher ratio of female to male characters in this thread's collage as opposed to part's 3s. Doesn't this say something about the change in anime-watching culture on the Misc? Much of this can possibly be attributed to aeterna's ****gytime propaganda.
