What do you mean? It can help gains, if you take it pre-workout.

In the long run though, does it really help? Maybe just gives you better energy to get in more reps and longer workouts?

Quoting from someone else "caffeine is the most used drug out there, you might as well be taking steroids"

That has got to be the silliest thing I've heard this year, that person can't have been serious. It doesn't even make any sense, because they are completely different things that do completely different things.

Obviously it's not going to act anything like gear, but it's going to give you that extra boost each workout which could add up in the long run.

Yes, caffeine is the most popular psychoactive drug in the world. No, caffeine is not comparable to steroids. To address your original question, caffeine if taken before a workout can significantly help your performance in the gym (good). Caffeine also speeds up your metabolic rate and can blunt hunger a little bit (good for cut, bad for bulk but just eat a little more). Rep me lololll

Also if your interested in how caffeine works i covered this in one of my honors college chemistry classes and may be able to upload it.

For me when I took caffeine pills or red bull pre workout it seemed to give me more energy to help me push it more intern to get more reps and help my gains. So I think in the long run caffeine will help.

    It doesn't directly.

Caffeine can give you the "edge" in the gym, get you to push harder, put up more weight. Other than that, it doesn't inhibit or affect "Gains".
