Whats up brahs? Its pouring here today.. I'm glad I got to ride yesterday.
Already thinking about getting a new bike next year lmao. I really want a white triumph daytona 675 hnnnggg. Don't get me wrong, I love my gixxer, but it has kind of high miles on it, brights do not work well since it has a HID conversion, and its loud as hell and it does get annoying after a while (voodoo exhaust with no baffle or insides). Unless someone knows how to fix the brights issue, I may just keep it until it falls apart, or someone offers me a good deal on it :P

Inn. I've been thinking about a dirtbike to toy around with in the woods. I really want to buy a toyota 4x4 this year to drive every day, but its not going to happen. Another year of driving the RX8 in the rain, snow, and ice and getting 0 traction... Bike > truck at the time lol

Yep - have the G9 and absolutely love it. A buddy and I split a pair and it makes rides SO much better srs. Not sure about the claimed mile range, it does do good enough though. I've forgotten it a couple of times and really bums me out when I don't have it. Bluetooth w/phone, listening to music, make/receive calls, built in radio, pairing up to 9 different riders I think. It's pricey, but very worth it IMO. Think it actually makes rides safer as there's no last minute turns, can look out for each other, etc.
Edit - I actually have one I would sell if anyone's interested. Lost it for about a month and finally broke down and bought another one then found the one I lost a couple of weeks later. fml, $300 down the drain lol. PM if interestedLast edited by MikeATL; 06-09-2013 at 03:53 PM.

Morning bros!
Trackday was fun. New track, new bike, new shift pattern... had a lot to learn. My gopro broke (grrrr), but I do make a (brief) appearance around 4:52 in this guy's video.

Thanks. You know I had to put it on full screen to see myself as long as possible
It was Palm Beach International Raceway. Pretty fun. I had a few setup issues on the new bike that I have to iron out. I couldn't hold the lines I wanted, or get enough lean angle, or trail on the brakes very well. I had a a lot of small and a couple of big front end moments that I was trying to adjust out through the course of the day.
One such moment, I felt the front sliding, and then I could HEAR the squeal in my helmet, like a car doing a burnout. I wasn't even pushing that hard, so it was concerning. Then when I adjusted that out, my rear was spinning up every time I got on the gas hard. It was frustrating!! Especially considering I was about 5 seconds off my goal pace, and I knew I could have been there if I could get the bike to stick.
Have fun at VIR, dude.

Nice man! yeah front end moments are not fun, feel free to keep them all down there in FL, I much prefer the problem being in the back, are you just running Q2's
I'm desperate to clear a weekend or two in my schedule and get back on the track, didn't make it once last year, and this year I have so much going on it doesn't look like it will happen either, its going to be torture up at VIR just watching this weekend.***kneedraggers crew***

Morning KD bros, got to ride all weekend with a few buddies, pretty fun but they ride drz's and harley 883's so they weren't keeping up too much.
Looking pretty snazzy there elephino, I really need to do a track day sometime. I took my SV out once and had a blast, never been on the gsxr. I've done a few local auto-crosses in my STi this year but it just doesn't compare.I am going to die under a heavy barbell one day and it's going to be f*cking awesome--HamburgerTrain

Weather should clear up after today and I'll be able to commute/not feel depressed walking into the parking lot
That feel when u see approximately 17 gaps in traffic u could hit on ur bike when ur in a truck.

Damn that sucks about the gopro at least you got some footage out of the day lol. Glad you had fun.
Yesterday went to my buddy's and he had his front sprocket welded on I talked about it early but it ripped all the splines off so he would have to split the case in order to replace that shaft, so he had someone weld on a new sprocket lol. Then we did a new tire for his rear (first time doing tube) went well, then put a new rear sprocket and chain on. Went well going to put up some pics soon** KNEE DRAGGERS UNITE **

Even the cliffs are long:
* Track had wet patches first couple sessions, no biggie, gave me time to learn the track at a moderate pace.
* Took three laps to get out of street mode and stop checking my (non-existent) mirrors.
* At least I didn't use my turn signal entering the chicane, like I did on my first track day (true story).
* Track dried, I started pushing, front started slipping everywhere.
* Had one big squealing slide and pitted to find issue.
* Adjusted tire pressure and suspension, front felt better, rear was spinning on gas.
* Friend who has a CSS race podium was running 1:32s on race rubber, I got down to 1:38ish on Q2s.
* Did not miss a shift all day, even with the new GP pattern. Felt natural.
* Quickshifter is a godsend.
* Couldn't hold lines, couldn't trail brake like I wanted to, had no more corner speed.
* Front end started giving me warning signals again.
* Could have probably adjusted it out, but ran out of time.
* Old 750 worked better than the R6 on Q2s. They were really odd that day and I think it was geometry related.
* See where I could have found 4 or 5 seconds, but couldn't find the grip to do it with confidence.
* Maybe would have tried anyway, but the grass outside the track was wet and if I touched it, bye bye, so I didn't push it.
* Buddy gave me grief about not doing cardio, bragged about biking 50 miles and speed skating 25.
* Said I would die in heat.
* Sorry babe, no cardio.
* Buddy got heat exhaustion, puked, I had to drive him home.
* Nobody in my group wrecked.
* Passed a cop doing 10 over on the way home, he flashed his lights at me, but didn't pull me. Nice guy.
* Got home, grilled steaks for everyone and had a few beers.
* Passed TFO.

Do you want to split the cost on an s1000rr kit?
Elephino sounds like fun. I can't wait to get on the track. It sounds like you had bad geometry issues. Did the front wan to keep on turning after you got off the brakes but before you got back on the trottle?
Installed attack performance rearsets on the weekend. Reversed the shift pattern so now have to get used to that. The quality of the machining on these is incredible.*Knee Draggers Crew*
