I also rode my friends 650 earlier this week...the power compared to my 250 is ridiculous. Next bike will be a XS650 which I'm going to build into a Cafe racer

What's kind of bike you ride brother?
There is a perfect white duc 848 sitting up at the dealership where I bought my Gix, I'm seriously tempted to go look at it but know I shouldn't for fear of doing something stupid. I can imagine it now "Oh, hey babe, look at my new $11,000 ducati" which would quickly be followed by her saying "Oh look, I just bought 90 different coach purses"I am going to die under a heavy barbell one day and it's going to be f*cking awesome--HamburgerTrain

-Mow lawn
-Put weed and feed down
-Plant some stuff
-Pull some buckthorn
-Gotta fix the back deck, as some bunnies decided to build a nest there and destroyed part of it.
-Get rid of a hornet nest on the side of the house
-Clean the grill
Hoping to tackle some new roads up north tomorrow since I have the day off from work.
I may try and attach my poverty camera and get a vid.Last edited by CHOOSE; 06-07-2013 at 01:14 PM.

or get these, just cut the wire, strip both ends, shove both wires in each end of the connector, then crimp them tight.
or these, quick splices
or you can pick a low watt soldering iron from Sears for under $20, spend about 15 minutes watching how-to videos and you will be good to go.

I need some input brahs.. I don't know if I need to work on my bike or what... I have a 07 gsxr 600 and drove it for about 15 mins home and didn't even really drive it hard and the temp was up at 207 degrees. It is almost 90 degrees outside though.
Just not sure if this is normal. I want to go for a nice long ride.. about 4~ hrs and I don't want to get 1-2 hours away and it overheat and have to get it towed back home.

were you in stop and go or low speed type stuff? If so it's totally normal.
My zx6r gets pretty warm in stop and go, or just tooling around the city in 3rd-4th gear. I've seen like 220 before.
If it's 90 outside it's gonna run a little warm, but it's no big deal. Hit up a highway or country road in 6th gear at 55+ mph for a few minutes and it should cool back off.**Kneedraggers Crew**

looked online "180degree neighborhood is normal operating temp, and the fan shouldn't come on till 220degrees" So 180 is when your out on the open rode moving at a good speed to cool your coolant. As soon as you stop or start to slow down the temp start to rise. Fan should kick on @ 220 I would let your bike get to 220 and see if the fan comes on it should stay steady @ 220-223 sitting still, if your bike hits like 230 you might have a problem though.
