This thread is to help those misc *******s who are thinking about moving to China/HK to get jobs and a better life and chit. I really want to help those miscers out, cause I didnt have that when I first moved so it was a bit tough.

love it man. there are some expats that dont like it at all, but I love it. great nighlife, cheap enough (could be very expensive as well), people are nice, low crime rates, etc The city is amazing

personally - no, haven't had anything. But we did have few protests and anti-japanese bs. for few days, even fuuuarking Baidu had a banner on its home page showing a pics of the islands with Chinese flags. But like I said, I haven't seen or notice any big disturbance. The only thing I guess that did change is the perception of Japan among youngsters (15-25)

censorship sucks - everyfuaarking thing is blocked. I use Astrill VPN - so no problem here, have access to everything, but without it will prob killmyself.jpeg

I speak basic, OK mandarin, just to get by. I am learning, but with job, sloots, really have little time to study. My job doesn't require it, so I dont really care, but I wanna do MBA in a year or two, so speaking mandarin would boost my chances at top school.
