I am respectfully disagreeing with you....if you are a KID, an immature kid, and you are in a place you do not know, alone in the dark, and someone is pursuing you, and you have done nothing to provoke this "pursuit", I bet the last thing I would do is "get caught".....you have no idea who is after you or why, srsly?

And Zimmerman did what anyone else who believed their life was in danger would have done, so what makes Trayvons excuse any better?
Nobody made Trayvon confront George. Nobody made Trayvon attack George. Trayvon choose to do those things, and as a result he lost his life. Actions have consequences; his actions cost him his life. He is called a "thug" because he behaved like a thug that day. He could have simply asked George why he was fallowing him, and if he wasn't doing anything wrong the issue could have resolved itself and he could have returned home to his family.**********S ALWAYS NEG ME CREW***

Hence being a KID! Not saying he was right, he wasn't, he is dead as a consequence, but you srsly cannot see how this would happen?
And I am still shocked that no one is concerned with a grown man, running around the neighborhood, with no legal or community purpose, other than self appointed with a LOADED WEAPON....this is how innocent people sitting in theoir homes get shot, by some untrained person firing a weapon in a packed neighborhood.
Lots of really bad decisions in this story, some made by a 16 YO and the rest by a grown man that IMO should have known better.

First, we still don't 100% know what's happened. Get that through your skull. I think it's reasonable for someone to doubt somebody's words. I still think that O.J. Simpson had something to do with that murder (behavior and stuff), but the evidence proved otherwise.
Second, I'm unaffiliated. I have conservative views, but I'm almost neutral unless I feel like something is at stake personally. I watch CNN mostly. Mainly because Fox News is on an extreme side and NBC is on another. I fight for myself. I love all sides of conflict. I listen to Rush Limbaugh a lot (don't particularly like that guy) but like hearing other viewpoints.
As a black male, I'm going to automatically be biased in this case because I have too. I've been discriminated against before. I grew up in white suburbs and don't like hearing things like this. It's one thing if Trayvon was breaking in, but this was one huge misunderstanding gone awry.
Normal is different for a lot of people. I've noticed that living in Seattle vs St. Louis. People are more confrontational in St. Louis and will hit you without batting an eye (almost happened when I stepped on this guys shoes by mistake in high school).

He could've just walked home and told his father about it. Confrontation was not only necessary, it was stupid. He was on the phone with a girl and multiple times tried to act tough despite her encouraging him to "run" and go home.
lol this is so dumb that people are trying to justify why he turned around and confronted someone he didn't even know, in the dark no less

No one said it was an excuse....but for heaven's sake as a grown up that has lived life you couldn't think it was a possibility....and then WAITED for trained proffesionals to come and handle it, no better to shoot your weapon off in the place were people live following a kid you don't know, for doing nothing more than walking in your neighborhood.
It was BAD judgement, now had T been trying to break through a window different story, and then you still call and wait for the authorities...JMO

Your right we dont know exactly what happened.
But what we do know is that zimmerman had injuries consistent with being attacked, that are backed up by his story and eyewitness testimony. There are no injuries on martin consistent with being attacked. From that little piece of information we can ddeduce who did and didnt do the majority of attackign and who had the upper hand. From that we cna also conclude who may have felt their life was in ''imminent'' danger.
My position is backed up by evidence, facts, and eyewitness testimonies. Yours isnt.

Ruh Roh......turns out that the prosecution's ME witness has more than a couple issues of her own.

I can absolutely see how it can happen (afterall it did happen). Teenagers these days think they are not only adults, they are above any and all authority and are for all intensive purposes, untouchable and invincible. They are entitled. His actions are pretty consistent with what I used to witness from teenagers everyday when I worked in Tallahassee. Students not only "stand their ground" against teachers, they challenge their authority, sometimes with threats of physical violence. They lack a general respect to any adult they do not know, and sometimes even to the ones they do know. That attitude is what got Trayvon Martin killed, not some misguided idea that George Zimmerman was a sociopath
And I am still shocked that no one is concerned with a grown man, running around the neighborhood, with no legal or community purpose, other than self appointed with a LOADED WEAPON....this is how innocent people sitting in theoir homes get shot, by some untrained person firing a weapon in a packed neighborhood.

And you are twisting my words....
When Z DECIDED to PURSUE T with a loaded weapon, what was T doing????????
Had Z at this point in the incident, waited for BACK UP, like a cop would have done had he thought the kid was a threat, this would have NEVER occured. I already admitted, due to Z's actions the kid probably did attack him...I am saying it did not need to get to that point.

Probably T was checking out houses to burglarize, given his background, his behavior, and the testimony that a burglary tool was found near there.
But what matters is that Zimmerman reasonably believed Martin was acting suspicious.
Had Martin not come back to attack Zimmerman, Martin would still be alive.
Unfortunately it seems Martin had to learn the hard way that you shouldn't attack people.

Did not say Z was a sociopath, just not very smart.
Do you know if George Zimmerman had any training? He had a CCW correct? Not that it automatically makes him Dirty Harry but he's obviously been through some kind of basic instruction. Do we know how many hours he's spent at the range with his weapon? If not then anything you say is just speculation. Unless you're implying that only military and law enforcement personnel should be allowed to carry. Is that what you mean by "training?"
Yes. I'll agree that indeed there were some bad decisions made. But the evidence seems to point to the events being that TM unnecessarily confronted GZ with physical force, obtained the upper hand in the altercation causing GZ to defend himself with a weapon he was lawfully in possession of. That to me sounds like self-defense, and in no way does it constitute a murder 2 conviction.

Would you have wanted to beat them to death? Zimmerman says Trayvon wanted to kill him for that. Does that sound reasonable to you? Where does the fight to the death come from?
One minute eating Skittles, the next beating a man to death? What next? Go home and all is good? Can't you see something's missing here?
If Z isn't lying he's certainly holding something back which is tantamount to lying in court. I just have never seen an average teenager wanting to beat someone to death out of the blue. And by smashing their head in no less, and for no apparent reason. Too many incongruities in that. Way too many.🎥
