    Good methods to ab burning

So as I know, once you go past about 12 reps into the higher 15/20 rep range with several sets, it turns from a strength/muscle building workout to a more targeted cardio exercise. Granted any type of workout is exactly that, but the muscle building characteristics of the lower rep ranges are not present at the higher. Correct me if I am wrong, I love constructive criticism.

So question, rep x sets? How many per exercise is a good rule of thumb for proper, visible ab development without adding too much fat over the core.

How many rep x sets are needed for good development of:
    arms
    legs
    back
    chest
    etc?

Your abs/core are not made out of some alien tissue...it's the same muscle tissue as other skeletal muscles.
