    Girl baby names fem misc!!

Just found out yesterday we were having a baby girl. If we were having a boy the name was picked after my grandfather. But being a girl I just have no clue. My eyes hurt from looking at this point. And only 2 are sticking currently.

    Gracie
    Cadence

Any names that fem misc always has liked or would name a daughter? Thanks for any suggestions

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, however, dont give your daughter a strange name. You don't want her to get bullied.

I'm not a female but I named my daughter Leah. Find inspiration from something you love then find a similar sounding name. Leah is close to Leia (however you spell it) from Star Wars.

Have you tried the baby name genie?
    http://www.babynamegenie.com/baby-name-generator/

I have all boys but at the top of my girls list was

    Brooke
    Annalise
    Liesel
    Marcella

If you wanted to honor your grandfather with the name, maybe look up and see if there is a feminine version of his name?

I have seen Cadence as a girl's name several times. I think it's a pretty name and she quite possibly will become your song

I'm not far along enough for us to know the sex of the baby I'm currently carrying, but I love the name Hannah or Rachel for girl names. Hannah would have special significance for me. I also like the older names, and biblical names (Hannah was taken from the Bible for my choice). My grandmother's middle name is Wynell, I love it. Hubs is not too keen on it, lol.

    And congratulations, btw!lol

I could see "Cadence" if you're an actor. Otherwise, it's odd.

If I had another baby girl I would name her L'wren. I think it's pretty and uncommon here.

If you want to avoid a common name make sure to check out resources like this -- http://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/ and http://www.babycenter.com/top-baby-names-2012 -- the most popular baby names change so quickly

    Names I like....

    Eva / Eve / Evelyn
    Kennedy
    Kendall
Elise / Eloise (classic but not popular... right now anyway)
Sadie (FWIW my name is "Sable" so I may be partial LOL)

I'm always thought Sophie/Sophia were uber feminine names.

Strong chance of naming the middle name of any future daughter that.

Grats OP on the new addition. I Have two young daughters (11 months and 2.5 years old). Names were tough to pick out for sure, and even worse because I have a last name that lends itself to teasing We went with "classic" names, Emily and Sarah. We used their middle names to honor their grandmothers. I'm sure you can find a name similar to your grandfathers to do the same. Wish I had better advice but my wife and I went round and round on names up until the end for both. It's no easy task

Good luck and grats again. Little girls are awesome and my heart melts when I come home and they come running (and crawling) up to me

If you want something unique that isn't as common I think all these are pretty. If I ever have a girl, these were all names I liked personally.
(Also, I have a niece name Emmeline. Everyone calls her Emmy, my sister in law was into literature and chose the name from a book she always loved)

Gracelyn(Gracie, since you like that one)
    Peyton
    Laney
    Makenna
Camelia (Cami, Melia, Amelia, Millie all nickname potential)
    Ava
Minka(My friend just named her daughter this)
    Teagan
    Delilah (Lilah)
    Harper

The right name will come to you. I met a little girl at the park recently named Reagan, who was absolutely adorable. She had a sister named Kennedy, both names I hadn't heard before for girls. I love Gracie though, it's such a cute name for a little girl and "Grace" sounds good as an adult too.

    EDIT: Congratulations, by the way
