    Not making physical gains

I've been at it for about 4 months now. People have said I have gotten bigger and stuff and my lifts have gone up tremendously but for me I can't see any physical changes. I'm going for hypertrophy so it kind of sucks. I've taken pictures and I see no changes, kinda embaressed to put them up here. I've been gaining weight too.

    What could be the problem?

Possibly not eating enough, not contracting correctly during lifts, maybe give it more time. Just put the pictures up so we can make a comparison. I don't think anyone will talk crap. Don't be embarresed brah we're all here to self improve.

Remember strength gains =/= hypertrophy gains, although they are mutually inclusive.

Alright, I'll put them up tomorrow or thursday. If I workout tomorrow I won't put them up because I'll have a pump so we'll see.

Could be a lack of sleep, or like the other guy said, a lack of contraction. Maybe not enough carbs, that was my problem for a while. I was more focused on protein than carbs

From what others have said, isnt protein more important than carbs? Isnt carbs a non-essential macro?

Protein/Fat are the most important macronutrients, carbohydrates are non-essential.
