I would think it would be counteractive towards your goals whatever they may be. If your food intake is specific for your fitness goals (i.e protein before/after workout) your body will be missing out on those needs after 1.5 hours into your workout. If your lifting to develop your muscles, your body is going to be needing the rest and nutrition quickly to properly develop.

I take anywhere between 1 hour to 1.5 hours in the gym, I drink a whey protein shake 1 hr before my workout (my stomach acts funny if i dont give it time to digest) and a weight gainer + BCAA within 15 mins after my workout cause I know I want my body to get those nutrients in asap while my muscles are stressed and repairing

So yah, I'd say its no good. Either cut down on the breaks between your workouts, or spread out your workout plan throughout the week.

It takes you 3 hours to do those 5 exercises? Are you napping in between sets?

Instead of 5 sets, cut it down to 3 and up your weights.

not if you are doing strength training where 3-5 minutes is generally accepted as long enough. try doing heavy sets(85-95% 1RM) with 30 secs of rest and report back.

though even with 3-5 minutes between sets OP should be able to finish his workout in less than an hour

I can say from experience that being in the gym any longer than an hour is counter productive in my opinon. All your energy is basically used up on your first lift. Your first lift should either be a squat, bench press, or deadlift.

My workouts only take now around 20-35minutes to complete in an out of the gym.

I plan to hit a 350lb bench, a 500lb squat, and a 600lb deadlift before the end of this year.
couldnt have stated it any better myself. this exactly...im so burned out after my first huge compound exercise (which i focus on due to powerlifting) i wouldnt bother adding 2.5-2 hours of accessories.

also someone said they do a MAX of 30 seconds rest in between sets. smh...come on.

You are at the gym wayyyyyy too long. If you listen to music while you're at the gym, try to get in at least 2 sets per song.
