He looks good in that photo and another one that's a back view of him while he's curling because his buddy's using photography skills to make him look better. He's at a legit single digit bodyfat percentage as well. The things to remember though are that he's exceptionally short (same height as one of those little mexicans you see running around at wal-mart), he's got a small head (which makes his proportions look better), and he quite literally dedicated his entire adolescence to aesthetics.

His whole G4P stint was the manifestation of him completely succumbing to his own narcissism, the extreme of "Lifting for yourself". Reason his attempts to reach out and be part of a community seem so forced is that he's still got a lot of confidence in himself (borderline arrogance) which replaced the need for a personality, and he's still trying to adapt a personality. The guy was full on hard-ass jock as early as a year and a half ago, and it took competing on stage and being involved with 3dmj to realize that being self-absorbed over his physique was detrimental to his perception in the eyes of others. The difference between him and other people who get shown they aren't "all that" was instead of lashing out at those who put him in his place, he decided to try and become more than that and get to the level he'd been shown (in both bodybuilding and social life).

Key word is "try", though. Dude's still awkward and is reaching out to try and appeal to a demographic that he doesn't quite fit in. Personally I feel if he instead dedicated himself 100% to what he's about (lifting) and let his friends and family provide humor during his videos, he wouldn't come off as such a try-hard. He desperately tries to emulate Lavado when he's around him and it makes for cringe-worthy moments.

genetics. My roommate is fat, doesnt lift, is 24, and going bald. Could be a lot of things, just plain genes, high conversion of test to DHT, low test causing the little test he has to turn into DHT.
