When a thread about real government spying on people comes up he won't even chime in, and when he's called out he resorts to his usual tactic of "refuting" what is being said about him (with no insight about what's really going on, he just focuses on people like on first post putting Voodoo as an example and then telling me that he won't answer because I used him as an example) and not a single comment about the article was seen that day.

Pretty much this, I would say he's usually right, as this is politics and it's subjective more than anything. Personally, I disagree with him on several important things, but what I don't disagree with is his approach. He's here to debate, and like his positions or not, he does a far better job of it than any of his detractors.
