I've done Crossfit before. My workplace in fact has a FULL FACILITY designed for Crossfit where classes go on 3x a day. I've trained with several types of people including Crossfiters. One of my contacts, she owns her own gym, so you know nothing about who or what I know or what training I've attempted.
My initial gripe about Crossfit was about improper coaching that is performed in several facilities and the injury rates associated with it. There are good coaches out there and it does introduce people to different styles of fitness, but there's some damage to the fitness industry it is also doing as a result.
Thank you.

One of the crossfit games competitors trained at my university's gym. I've seen him squat, with perfect narrow stance form, 4 plates for reps. He can't weigh much more than 180, and all his lifts are fuarking joocy. As long as your making gainz(strength, aesthetic, endurance, whatever) then keep it up brah. Just dont shove it in someone's face if they aren't interested(not saying you do), it's the same as religion in that aspect.
Squat: 365
Deadlift: 505
Bench: 295

I'm just glad crossfit is getting many new people into training and exercising.

LOL at crossfit being something new. In high school I did strength training, heavy metcons, long metcons and all sorts of hybrid training.
This is nothing new and have been training my friends on the side like this for a long time and tailor it to their specific goals. Like basketball, triathlons and volleyball."I don't say goodbye until the pain says hello. That's how you know the set is done." -Greg Plitt

Froning had a baseball scholarship. He also did very well in high school football, that's why if you have seen any of his videos on youtube, he works with a high school as a strength training and helps with the football drills
Of course high quality athletes can excel elsewhere. I picked up hockey late and life and a lot people think I'm good. I also played every sport growing up, so picking up another sport isn't as difficult."I don't say goodbye until the pain says hello. That's how you know the set is done." -Greg Plitt

I think it's cool, I have never been to a box, but it gets a lot more people to get up off their asses and get healthy. Plus, no bigger douche than a dude who curls right in front of the dumbbells and has never trained legs. I'd take a crossfit self-righteous douche over hammer-curl, everyday is arms day, chicken legs guy.

You said ANY GUYS JACKED plain and simple none of these guys are special with regard to genetics or or anything they simply train hard and most are either CrossFit coaches or own affiliates. Most are 150-215lbs and 5'6''-5'11''
I am going to be competing at regionals against guys who all look just like that."Many want to wear the beret, few want to carry the rucksack"

Crossfit isn't that bad IMO, but I can't stand endurance stuff. I like to take things at my own pace because staying fit is long term and I want to enjoy myself while still being challenged. Speed/endurance stuff sucks for me.
But I do 'mire crossfit sloots. And their Toes-to-bar version of hanging leg raises have made my abs juicy unlike any other exercise I've tried.

Ugh.. there's like 5 members in my gym doing cross-fit like chit. And they do the same set of exercises every single day with possibly 1-2 days off. And they don't even look like they lift.
