If you can gain weight on 2500 calories and you can easily consume 2200 calories, why would you consume a weight gainer that is 1000+ calories in water? I am saying that the OP should buy a product that fits his needs based on his calorie requirements for the day.

Ik im agreeing with you, I really doubt he can't get all his calories from food. I really feel a very very small percent of people should use a weight gainer.

I always preferred Pro Complex over Serious Mass, as I feel Serious Mass is a little overkill with the carbs. If using Serious Mass I like to take 1/2 Serving and add in some extra whey.

Currently bulking right now and I love Serious Mass. I have appx. 5 hrs of school on top of 8 hr shifts in a lumber yard plus my gym time. That being said, I'm eating damn near 4500/day. And seeing around a pound per week of weight gain.

OP figure out how many calories you need first, and if you just need a quick boost, take a half serving (~600 cals) of the Serious Mass..

    100% this.

I don't believe that this thread is still going on seriously.

Supplementing protein depends on what you're missing out of your diet, or what you're unable to eat..

Example: my daily requirements to bulk is 3,000 calories, if I can get that out food alone, then I don't have to supplement protein.

But if you're unable to do so for several reasons, you can supplement it, purchase the protein/gainer with a profile that can fit your daily macros.

I know this is old but all these people talking **** pissed me off.

I spent the first 22 years of my life as an extremely skinny guy. At 22 I was 6'2" and ...150lbs...yep. I made up all kinds of excuses, told myself I'd never bulk up because genetics! It was impossible!

Then one day I decided to get "serious" (sorry).

I bought a gym membership, and started going every day. A month in...nothing gained. WHAT??!! But I was already eating as much as I could. Until the point where another bite would induce vommiting. Every meal. What to do? I looked into weight gainers...and there were a lot of positive reviews for Serious Mass so I said why not and made the plunge.

ONE month later...taking nothing but a walmart multi vitamin, and 3 serious mass shakes a day, I was up to 170. Looking and feeling better than I ever had in my life (which looking back wasn't even that great). The first 20 came quick, after that it slowed tremendously but it's now 5 months later, and I'm 187 and slowly but surely climbing. Now I take my serious mass, cassein and ZMA at night, amino 2222 tabs, whey and glutamine before every workout, Optiman multi vitamins, and I'm going to start taking creatine before work outs starting tomorrow as well and I can honestly say I've never been happier, healthier, more energetic, more focused, or sexier in my life. I don't care what anyone says...if you're a skinny guy with an ultra fast metabolism...you NEED supplements. These people telling you to go "eat a cheeseburger" are so ignorant it's disgusting.

I made a account just to post this to an old thread that no one will probably ever read again. If that doesn't show you how passionate I am about Serious Mass then I don't know what will.

It changed my life and I will always love it for that.
