If you never played this game in the 90's you missed out.

So much this dude... Just saw this thread for the first time and came in to post this! I put so many hours into that game. I would always do a fantasy draft and then make a ton of trades until I had my dream team. It would let me trade any 3 mediocre players for a superstar. Brb picking up free agents just to trade them
My lineup looked like this:
DH - Edgar Martinez
SS - ARod
LF - Bonds
CF - Griffey
DH - Frank Thomas
C - Piazza
Can't remember who else. Also would grab Pedro, Schilling, Daryl Kile(rip), randy johnson*Misc Cologne Crew*

I still remember some of the stats lol.. Every player got a 1-10 in hitting power, accuracy, throwing, and speed. Griffey was 10, 10, 10, 8. There were only 4 players with 10 and 10 in power and accuracy. Piazza, Griffey, Bonds, and Frank Thomas
Edit - and how everyone only had the same few batting stances. Except Griffey of course got his own*Misc Cologne Crew*

hell yea and all those stats determined hoe large their "hitting circle was"
I just recalled how the annoucer would say out differently for 1st 2nd and 3rd outts lol
1st- was like a quick "OUT!"
2nd- was like a slightly louder "OUT!!"
3rd- was like a slightly dragged out "OOuuTTtttt"
Hi, this is Ken Griffey JR, lets play Major League Baseball.

The gameplay of modern sports game isn't really that much better in most franchises plus innovation simply doesn't happen much anymore in sports games. The development costs are too high and the programming talent level too low. When I can make 6 figures programming a fighter jet rather than 5 figures working 80 hour weeks to make a game? It tells you why games simply rehash the engines from the 90s still.
Fifa is an exception to this, but that's because it's the top selling game every year.
GOAT Sports games for me.
