Hey guys I just joined a gym (Much better than the ****ty apartment fitness center I was at). I was wondering if it's acceptable in a gym to take weight plates from another machine and use it on yours if there's no plates on yours? Obviously I would put it back afterwards... Just wondering if that's a common thing?

I assume you mean taking the weight the person isn't using, in which case I think is perfectly acceptable. If I need some weight I'll usually just ask, "Hey, you mind if I borrow those 2.5's?"
