I was thinking, with the addition of Men's Physique they are trying to balance the sport between mass monsters that we like to see, and the male model that the public likes to see.
Think something like a 212 Tall would catch on, something like 5'10+, they have the 212 right now but Flex Lewis is what 5'4 at this weight hes the same level as Phil Heath at 5'10
I think the idea of a 212 tall, judging done the same a general bodybuilding like the open and 212 now (not Classic) would be an aesthetically pleasing look for the IFBB and offer a lot of marketable people to the bodybuilding industry.
212 contest these guys would still be 240lb in the off season so they would still be great athletes just might be avoiding the bellys and other side effects we see in pursuit of trying to get to 250-260 on stage

The public actually does not want to see it. Proof for that is that it already exists and you don't have a clue about it since it's not popular on the same scale as the Olympia is. If it did gain a giant surge of popularity, they would add it to the O.

I also understand what you mean, the fact is to be ifbb pro you need to be putting in serious money into the supps and the "lil extra". Some people may not be able to afford these or want to endanger their health. Maybe they should start hosting larger competitions so more people show up rather than town competitions...

The judging in classic bodybuilding is pretty much the exact same as in general bodybuilding. or what discrepancy is there that you dislike?
If you want to see tall guys judged per "actual bodybuilding criteria" why not just... Go to a state level show? The tall guys there would fit the desired height+weight perfectly, and be judged under general bodybuilding criteria.
You're asking for things that no one would care to see (mediocre state level bodybuilders on a top level IFBB stage. lolwot), and when presented with a decent option (the top classic bb'ing guys), you dismiss it?"that guy is like a damn unicorn" -Evan Centopani on Mamdouh Elsbiay

I think it is fine how it is. Adding more will make shows that much longer, make things more confusing and as mentioned above, less recognition
If we had "Tall 212" then down the road would be Tall Mass Monsters and Short Mass monsters hahaType 1 Diabetic - Since age 15

I'm satisfied not ruining my health and general well-being for the off chance I might make it to the pro ranks.
Would a 212 tall cater to people like myself? Most definitely. With this said they've already added mens physique and a 212 tall would just dilute the classes like people are saying so at least there is mens physique if you really feel the need to compete. They'd also need to add the shorter classes if they're putting in the tall class. In reality they should have just put a weight limit on tall and short instead of making the mens physique and it would have been much more balanced and probably would have garnered more interest. Then we remember they added the bikini class and all hope is lost.

I think for bodybuilding if any division will be added it needs to be something like 213-235. Something in the middle between the 212's and the super heavy's. Guys like Mike Liberatore and Antionne V would be suited well for this class. That being said more weight classes just means more confusion on a sport that's dealing with plenty of confusion as it is regarding judging.
