    Uncontrollable hunger during reverse dieting

Sup brahs, just finished my 21% to 12% cut (15 weeks, did a 4 hour IF window) and switched over to an altered reverse diet. Bumping up cals to maintenance for a week and then going to a +200 surplus. Today was day 1 of the reverse diet, and whereas on my cut I struggled to eat 2000 cals in a four hour window, today I powered through 2300 cals like it was nothing and am having a hard time resisting eating more. Anyone know why appetite increases after a prolonged cut on reverse diets?

Are you eating foods that have higher calorie density than you were on your cut? Potentially due to that since you would feel less full.

I had the same thing, it seems like eating more gets your appetite back up put it simply.

I recommend you keep IF'ing and keep it to a 6-8hour window. Noticed when I kept it like that things stayed in check and didn't go over the top.

It's just rebound appetite, everyone responds differently so just stay focused as much as it sucks and within a few days it should subside. Just try to do things over the next few days to keep your mind off of it and don't think about food so much. You have done great so far!
