you can do 16/8, 18/6 or 20/4
I'm doing 16/8 and feel fantastic. Dont eat between 8pm and 12am. Workout either in the morning or at night, eat like 75% of my calories after my workout, which I do in a fasted state
its fantastic. You just have to make sure u get enough protein/calories in those hours or youll burn muscle

This is so stupid. You don't eat for 16 hours, your anabolic hormones decrease, once you start eating your anabolic hormones will increase
IF is absolutely retarded, theres plenty of studies stating that your body will on use around .04 - .06 grams per body weight of leucine in a meal (takes about 1-3 hours for amino acid levels to spike and fall, so you want to eat every 3-5 hours). Don't know you you people can physically go 16 hours without eating, you must all have the appetite of a female

All Intermittent Fasting is, is eating your diet in a 4-8 hour period. Then starving until you reach said period.
It's literally all there is to it. That diet is nothing special, just is a lot more convenient and satiating. It can be any window. But you must keep eating at those timeframes and hit ur macros, water intake, and micros.

Need more cliffs, cba to read right now, busy, but does this mean that 16/8 IF'ing would produce the same results since when I scanned it mentions a 5d fast, we're obviously not gonna fast for that long since that'd atrophy muscles and drive people crazy. Apologies if I misread, I only skimmed it briefly.

I fast 7-8 hours a day...when I sleep, thats it.
It takes a certain amount of nutrients to make gains. If you dont eat for that many hours at once and you cram all the necessary fat, protein, and carbs into your diet wihin that small window of time your body wont be able to use 80-90% of what you eat. In other words it wont get used as energy and you will either have huge sh*ts, indigestion, as well as gain fat.
Enjoy discomfort and losing strength.Carb Mal-absorption, no breads, sugary snacks, rice, pasta...live off of 30-40g a day.

05-05-2013, 10:44 AM #24This recent study also confirmed earlier findings about the effects of fasting on human growth hormone (HGH), a metabolic protein. HGH works to protect lean muscle and metabolic balance, a response triggered and accelerated by fasting. During the 24-hour fasting periods, HGH increased an average of 1,300 percent in women, and nearly 2,000 percent in men.
