That is because you are unfit. Not trying to be a dik but it is a long road and you need to realize it will take a lot of time.
You should expect it to take at least a year of hard work to get close to where you want to be. So long term you should focus on what you want to look like and short term set small manageable goals.
You should understand what you are in for. Your goal should be about 2lbs a week in weight loss. Your BF is probably much higher than you think it is so work on keeping as much muscle as possible while loosing fat. You do this by eating at a calorie deficit and lifting weights, heavy arse weights. Supplement with some cardio but really your diet is going to get you closer than running on a treadmill much faster. Look at it this way, 1/2 hour on a treadmill accounts for one bottle of soda......
There is a lot of help here to get you on your way, read the stickies in the nutrition section and the loosing fat section, figure out your diet and get your arse off the couch.
As far as motivation, take pictures of yourself every two weeks and take measurements. Don't weigh yourself every day because it will fluctuate, once a week at the most is fine. Eat right and move heavy things and in 6 months you will see progress. That will be your motivation.
