My brother and my mom tell me I'm obssessed with working out and that i need to just "live life happily" because I count my macros/calories and know alot about bodybuilding. Don't get me wrong, there into working out but not close to my level at all. Honestly, I'm at the happiest point in my life then I've ever been and I can thank bodybuilding for that!
So does anyone tell you guys that you're obssessed or is it just me that gets told that?

Have you ever heard of the word "denial" OP...?
Not to "rain on your parade", but have you ever considered that your mother and brother.. are probably right? Are you planning on being a "pro bodybuilder" anytime soon? Competing?
Don't let this consume you, if you don't plan on doing it for a profession.

Haha, but I'm happy of my 'obsession' and I know I'm obssessed but I'm saying people that are not into bodybuilding don't really know how amazing it is and how much you really gotta do. It's the best feeling to know that you've gotten stronger and can lift heavier weight. Last year, I wasted a year on bad nutrition. I had about 100g of protein and bearly any carbs or fats, I really just focused on protein which was stupid and naive of me, I wasted a year of much bigger gains.

Ive been told that a million times by people lol, It took awhile for my parents to accept my change in eating and how much I workout. But they can see what makes me happy and that is definitely being in the gym, Its my life! As for the other people that say im obsessed they dont workout at all and eat junkfood all day lol, do what makes you happy. I use to listen to people and that never made me happy, now that I'm focused on myself their opinions dont matter . Happy training

They are just saying I'm obssessed because I count my macros, which I'm sure most people that work out do. And they are also saying it because I'm bulking and they have no idea what that term means when I bring it up and that it really is one of the only ways to put on serious mass. I do plan on becoming a personal trainer as a side job sometime in the far future.

Bodybuilding makes me a better person. I use to be depressed, extremely quiet, and really really cared what others thought about me, now I really couldn't care less. I've became I better person, nicer to other people, started doing better in school, help other people out alot and I plan on learning to become a physical therapist, because I love helping others. I never touched mariuana (not hating on people that do), last time I drank was about 7 months ago and that was the only time I actually really drank. Bodybuilding really changed my life, and I do it for me mostly, not for girls, not to impress people, but just to impress myself by the progress I'm making physically and mentally. They can call me 'obsessed' or 'not happy' but I know nothing can stop me.

Meant bodybuilding is great but don't let it consume you
If you're home alone and theres a party on Friday night with a bunch of your friends but you're home alone and you have 300 calories to go them go to the damn party and have a good time. Make me memories that will last with you forever
Just an example. You don't so this for a living so have fun and live life

If your not planning on making a living off of it I wouldn't get too obsessed. There are other things to life then working out. Too much of anything is bad for you. Being dedicated and hard working doesn't mean your obsessed though.
yolo- you only lift once

Back Squat: 450 x1

My mom tells me the SAME exact thing..
She thinks that the ON Whey Protein and ON Casein Protein i take are "drugs"...and keeps telling me i'm going to have heart problems..
She also, tells me i'm obsessed because i count/look at the macros of everything i eat because i genuinely enjoy it and dedicated to improving myself as a whole
Repped for the same feel bro..

I have been slacking lately, and I'm just now getting back into eating and lifting again, but my mom always told me that I'm obsessed. It was annoying... So I stopped fixing her breakfast. And told her, "YOU'RE MOM'S OBSESSED." because that annoyed the hell out of her. In the end, I think I won.

Ah don't worry bro. Its literally impossible to be obsessed with bodybuilding or addicted if u will.
Here is the thing. Take bodybuilding. u workout for maybe an hour a day, say maybe an hour and a half.
And for couting calories. LMFAO i can count my in about 2 minutes witth my phone and myftiness pal, takes phuck all to weigh stuff out.
In total thats about 1 hour and 2 minutes i spend with my bodybuilding.
With that being said, take another addiction or obsession, say world of warcraft.
I know moutherphuckers that go on that friday night at 7, and stay on till like 5 in the morning, sleep 3 hours, and go from 8 in the morning till midnight.
Now thats an obsession
Bodybuilding an obsession.
Its not.
I get up for work at 6:00a.m i get to the shop at 7:00 i work from 7 to about 4:30 to 6:00p.m. It varies every day. With that being said every single day i workout. i do push/pull/legs/repeat
staying on topic, i get home at 6:00p.m i eat, takes me 15min, i let it digest for15min. I then lift weights from 6;30 to 7:30p.m. i shower, watch tv for a hour, then go to bed.
Now in total thats about 1 hour and like i said 5 minutes to track my calories.
And on the weekend i go out with friends to party, no always drinking, but hanging out/ going to the club and sat/sun i do other stuff.
So ya i take bodybuilding/powerlifting extremely seriously. but ya i still do other things
Ur not obsessed bro. its cool
