    6-packs are overrated

    I think just about every guy has a goal at some point in his life, to get six packs abs, regarldless of what the rest of his body looks like. The more I look at it, any skinny 120 pound teen can have abs, but if you're just a stick everywhere else, what's the point?

    Now I'm not saying to neglect your core. But I'm saying that only doing ab workouts is pointless. I'd much rather have big arms, solid legs, and a nice chest than a six pack.

    And besides, if you do the work on everything else in the gym, the abs are sometimes secondary movements (squats, deadlifts), so they'll come along from that as well as your core workout.

    Any thoughts?

    if you work out to get big arms/ chest/ legs then abs will come anyway as you're pretty much hitting the whole body, so what's your point? if you don't want one then don't train for one and what will be will be
