As a model you get signed jobs but only if the people wanting a model for whatever job "like" you - that is to say - how you look. You should have beamingly white teeth and a good physique and good skin etc. etc., but at the end of the day, if you haven't got the right look, it won't matter what you look like. Maybe you do, maybe they'll say "Hey this guy will look good in photos", maybe they won't. All happens on the day bro.

re-read, yeah that's what the scouting agency guy told me. some will really want me, some won't even consider me since it depends on the look they're going for. won't be getting any surf shoots soon

bored at work and tired of not seeing any quality threads on the misc, so figured I'd make this one. Already signed with a scouting agency, got a meeting next week with a casting agency. reps go to randoms/funny comments, rate my facial/body aesthetics. all pics were taken professionally except the last one, which was done by a friend who has a good studio type setup in his room.

Hmmm, well you got to consider that an actual model also gets the benefit of a makeup artist AND photoshop for any shoot.

Also, how good are you from a business and self promotion end of things? Its a cutthroat world, and that means you need to treat your look and image like a business, as well as regularly putting in a LOT of work getting your name out there, and being a professional at any photo shoot, some of which can be long hours and actually FEEL like a JOB.

On the outside it looks like you got potential. Depends on self marketing.

How tall are you? That is relevant because you may be in a picture with girls/other models.

edit nevermind height, your stats say 5'10', which is a GOOD height for a model. Not too tall, not short either.

You GOT to put the WORK in.

Don't get suckered by some agency scam. Do your research, find a good company, and yes you may need to pay for some professional photos, as well as have some non-shopped candids that add companies will want to see.

wat. both parents and myself paid money towards it. was concerned they might be just trolling for money, but once all the preliminary stuff got done, they got me a meeting with casting agency within a week, so they are likely legit. aware on nose :/

yeah, pictures 2,3, and 4 have some makeup on them, and last picture has minor photoshop to add contrast, glint in eyes, and remove an unsightly chest zit i had at the time
