When I lift more often lately than not, I have been getting an over-bearing pain with an amazing amount of pressure that moves up my neck onto the side of my head..I don't even have to be lifting anything very heavy and this will occur.. Has anyone else had this related issue or have any ideas? It stopped happening for about two weeks, but it just started back up again the last three days of lifting.

Sounds like exertion headaches.
I used to get them too before they mysteriously cleared up.

Train consistently, move iron with purpose, eat well, sleep well and achieve.

I suffered from exertion headaches for a week. In my case it was caused by a pulled muscle in the neck area, the throbbing headache would come on when I started to exercise. A week of rest and a deep tissue massage focusing on the area cleared it up.
Of course I have to recommend you run it by a doc to be safe whenever you experience "over-bearing pain" especially when it involves the head/neck.
