I was recommended to try out Craze: I'd post the link but I need to hit fifty posts...
I took the "max dosage" of two servings today and not impressed. Should I bump it up to three so I can actually feel the PWO?

Original Hyde and Muscle Marinade would be your best bets. Those can still be found on some supp sites, just not on bb.com. I stocked up on 3 tubs of the Original Hyde, took it for the last two days, still real good but I would not take it for more than twice a week, that DMAA is easy to build up tolerance for and not to mention the caffeine and yohimbe. I just use Craze in the other days with something milder in between during the week (currently White Flood, works well for me).
VPX Friction (don't get it on bb.com though, I found the bb.com version to be a bit weaker than the regular formula). That is basically straight up 400 mg of caffeine, lots of yohimbe, some other stims, 5 grams of creatine and. 3.2 grams of beta alanine. Really good formula IMHO.
As for the Jack3d type of focus, it's really a different kind of focus compared to what I get from Craze and to a lesser extent, White Flood. Craze and White Flood helps with my concentration rather than heavy energy stim type focus. Craze especially is more like the you lose track of time focus but you do need to actually put in the drive to want to attack your work out. You need to provide the drive and them Craze takes over and enhances it quite a bit.

I had the same issue because of a super high stim tolerance, 2 scoops was doing nothing. Eventually I just backed down to 1 scoop and added 200mg of caffeine and it worked perfectly, great focus during working sets. Increasing is not the answer in this case.

To the OPs credit, I'm much the same. I went about 2 years without a stim break (this was before starting at the gym, mostly coffee and energy drinks), and also don't find much from 400mg caffeine. I've taken a few 2 month stim breaks, taken a heap of different adaptogens, thyroid and adrenal gland 'remedies' etc to no success.
Apparently having ADHD can cancel the effects of caffeine. Not saying I or the OP have ADHD, but maybe a mild form or related condition that causes this.
EDIT: and to clarify, these breaks consisted of no coffees, energy drinks, sodas, etc. First break was without adaptogens and other remedies, second break was with ashwaganda and b6, third break was a heap of **** that I can't even remember. First week I felt a mild effect from caffeine, second week, my tolerance was back completely.

If you are deployed, I would suggest no original Hyde for you. That has 1-3/DMAA in it which as far as I am aware of, is a banned substance in the military. The VPX Friction is readily available on base though. I believe they also have Hemorage which is pretty good (the concentrated one, smaller tub).

Not sure if it was suggested already but try it on an empty stomach, I'm talking about first thing when you wake up. When I first tried craze I thought it didn't work but then I tried it right when I woke up and my mind was blown.

I've been taking Craze for over a month and I haven't exceeded 1 and 1/4 scoop. I still feel the wonderful effects and blast through my workouts. This is still the best preworkout I've ever tried. And I have tried many. I can't even imagine how I would feel if I upped the dosage or stacked it with Hemavol o lawd

By the way to all you caffeine non-responders, lack of stimulation from higher doses of caffeine could be attributed to thyroid disorders. If you have any other symptoms related to thyroid function, think first before saying, "caffeine don't do squat bro, I'm trying to be stimmed da fuk out bra". I am in no way a physician, so this is my disclaimer.
