How much does a tablespoon of Peanut Butter weigh?

I've always been taught that 1 teaspoon = 5 grams, and 1 tablespoon = 15 grams , but that's not completely true obviously as not everything weighs the same.

Somebody gave me the advice to put my bread on the scale and then measure out the serving size of peanut butter like that, but on Kraft Crunchy Peanut Butter one serving is 1 tbsp (15ml)

Anyways... I decided to just grab a tablespoon and see how much it weighed, came out to 25 grams.

Did the same with my Smuckers Raspberry jam and 1 tablespoon came out to 20 grams.

Do these seem right to you?

Sorry I just don't trust scales very much, smoked a lot of bud in my lifetime and I've seen scales that were totally off haha so just want to know if this is around the same for you guys.

On average, 1 level Tbsp of peanut butter is about 16 grams, but this will vary a little bit from brand to brand, as well as how well mixed the peanut oil and peanut solids are.

most pb nutrition facts will say a serving is 2 tablespoons (32 grams), so 15-16g if you want 1.

If the ingredients are just peanuts. 1 tablespoon = 16grams = 100 calories

To weight peanut butter... put the jar on the scale and tare it out to 0grams. DO NOT WEIGH THE BREAD. Use enough peanut butter until desire amount. For example, I want to use 2 tablespoons or 32grams. Use enough peanut butter until the scale reads -32grams.

I believe so. Due to the extra oils and other junk in your PB.
