Well it's that time, time for a new journal. All of my past journals have been about an amazing adventure and this one will be no different. A few weeks ago I spoke with Doug Miller and we agreed that becoming a part of Core Nutritionals was a positive move for both of us. Obviously Doug is making some amazing supplements and is putting a lot of energy into promoting natural bodybuilding. In the coming weeks, months and years I will be a part of that as I promote Core in every way I know how.
My competitive career is still moving forward and that is why I am posting in this section. I am currently in contest prep for late 2014 or early 2015 depending on some life factors. As Doug would say, there is no offseason so I am going to stay right here and keep my mind right for the process ahead.
I will have more details about Core soon enough. Doug will be making all the announcements on the social media outlets but I thought all you who follow me through my journal would like to know what I have been holding back. I had one final event to do this past weekend but it is over and I am officially with Core Nutritionals.
Here is a video from the weekend with some lifting footage with Josh Hyaduck and some Expo footage as well. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
Thank you all for following along. I hope you will continue to subscribe to my new thread and follow into the next chapter!
Other Weekend Highlights!
WNBF Master's Pro Figure Champion Nicole Carasco, Great client!
Ran into this guy on my way out!
Bella Falconi. A client asked me to get a picture with her so I tracked her down....the things I do for my clients!
Yorton Lightweight Champ Moji Oluwa
Me and my boy Emeka
Had a long chat with Rob Bailey, my videos will soon be as good as his (ok maybe not that good but I am moving to iMovie)

Some footage from last night. I still have not mastered my new computer but when I do my videos are going to be so much better. I also found a nice resource for royalty free music.
Last night training was.
Bent Over Rows (235 top set, still working on form)
Wide Grip Pulldowns (Entire stack for 8)
Low Hammer Row (3 plates for 15)
Low cable Row
Hammer Shrugs (6 plates per side top set)
That was it but I felt great. I am putting a new program in place next week and plan to set some PR's in the gym in the coming months. Details by the end of the week.

I shoot video with my iPhone then upload them to youtube. Create a youtube account and you can directly load them.
Cliff I can't wait until our paths cross. I see so much good stuff happening with Core that it seems like we are on the verge of some big things. Keep killing your prep...I will keep getting fatter!Contest Prep Coach

Tuesday April 23rd, 2013
Lower Power Day
Deadlift at 70%
305x5, 5 sets
Hack Squat
285x5, 5 sets plus a few drop sets with high reps
Glute Ham Raise
2 sets of 5(first time in a while, more next go round)
Simple but effective night in the gym. For the last few months I have been doing different things in the gym without a whole lot of focus but that is about to change. I have put together a custom Power Hypertrophy program for myself which is going to keep my improving and fired up. Since I can't squat right now I am just going to work hard on deadlifts and hack squats until my legs split my jeans. My pressing has come back to life so I want to hit some PR's with both chest and back. If anyone is interested I can show the layout of my plan here. It's not a typical 7 day routine but still uses the PHAT principles along with my own signature touch.
I will be training arms with Josh Hyaduck on Thursday night and perhaps going over to Tampa to train with Layne on Saturday morning for back\Chest. That means hypertrophy lower day is Friday and I take no days off this week...Love it!Contest Prep Coach

Doug Miller rests between reps, that's enough. All I know is my motivation to lift heavy is at an all time high knowing i will be training with Layne, Josh, Doug, Ron, Marc...and many more. I didn't even Mention Layne's camp which is going to just be a crazy mash up with Philip Ricardo, Dave Goodin, Brian Whitacre, Alberto Nunez, Dr. Joe and more.
