He's 6 years older than Haney was when he won his last Olympia.
Age isn't just a number, as you approach 40 your body rapidly declines. Hormone production, healing times, muscle building, everything. Of course in BB some effects of age are less important because they all take their vitamin C pills. Still Dexter, Tony Freeman et al are the exception, most athletes are way past it by that age.

Incline benching 315lbs on the smith machine apparently.
His tear actually healed really well, not quite Kevin Levrone "can't see it even when you look for it" well but still.
Interviewer: Toney. You mentioned a pec tear earlier. Most guys never recover from a pec tear. With you it’s hardly noticeable. How did you recover so well? What did you do to bring up your upper chest to conceal it and bring it back to par with the right side? New style of training?
Toney: One thing is I didn’t give up and think that you can’t get back to where it was before. The surgeon said he attached the muscle back to the bone and told me that the pectoral minor would never be the same but I didn’t accept that. I made it a goal to find a way to bring it back up as much as I can. I started to get weekly deep tissue massages, I would do lots of stretching and like you said I started to train more smart. I focus mostly on my upper chest. I never go heavier than 225 on incline barbell. I use dumbbells like no higher than 120lbs and focus on feeling and squeezing the muscle. I got really into uni-lateral movements, too. I would do one arm pec-dec flys. One arm dumbbell presses and stuff like that. I focused on making it better and I did. It isn’t as good as the left pec but it came a hell of a long way.

Yeah the hype train is a hell of a drug. Roelly, Centopani, McMillan-these are just some of the people in recent memory who haven't lived up to their potential.
If Cedric nails his conditioning, its very possible that he could pull a Rhoden and catapult into the Top 4. If he shows up looking like his past two competitions, I'd reckon lower Top 10 if the bodybuilders mentioned above more or less show up in shape.Frustrated at bodybuilding? Read my rant:

Honestly, Haney was just WAY more complete with almost no flaws. Great physique and massive for his time with a tiny waist. Ced while impressive might just be one of those guys who never lives up to expectations. He is 37 and still hasn't competed at the Olympia. We can all agree that he has NO CHANCE of winning this year, so even if he were to make massive gains and win next year, it would be a tall order for him to do that at 38 years old. But it would be great if he could prove me wrong.

There are always guys in every sport that have incredible potential that never truly fulfill it.
Cedric looks to be on of those, but I would love that to be wrong.
That being said, I prefer his physique over quite a few other pro's, even those that do better at competitions. Just personal preference.
I prefer his physique to Kai's, I'm a fan of Kai and he does understandably better at shows but I just prefer Cedric's look."It is far more important to understand, than to be understood." - Bill Russell
