I miss the days when I didn't need a spotter cuz the weight was so light. For that amount of weight, and the fact that it was an incline bench, his response was perfectly legitimate. Little chance of injury.
Another "solution" (not ideal) is to not use clips, then tilt the bar left to drop off all the weights. Then the right side will be right behind! (ask me how I know.) Of course the problem is the noise and potential danger to other people in the area, since weights can roll. And no I'm not recommending this as an everyday solution, just pointing it out when you might be by yourself and pinned under a heavy weight.
But yea, when the weights get heavier, a spotter or power rack is your friend!

I got respect for the guy. I don't know how many peeps strut around mashing the crap out of the same weights they've been lifting for months. They never push and they never fail so there happy . **** them I had to humiliate my self pressing that kind of weight for 50 reps which of course the press isn't my best lift and **** me it hurt. Still I think getting around that embarrassment is the hardest part of the work out. The goal and the plan are more important than my ego.
its only insane until I succeed

Kinda funny this got posted today. I just got back from the gym and there was a new guy there benching and he got caught under the bar. I helped him rerack it and said benching to failure isnt a good idea without a spotter. Lol
Actually benching without a spotter any time isnt the best ideahttp://www.iron-sanctuary.com/forums/index.php

Ditto what FLEX said, you have a lot of growing up to do. As I always tell my kids, if your going to dish it out, be prepared to receive it. And just like a kid you whine like a baby when it's being dished back at you. It's an internet forum, don't get so butt hurt over it. See you in 5 years.Lift light until you can lift right

You make a stupid comment about a 3yr old pressing 85lbs and wonder why people say something to you.
Although I think it was probably too heavy for him, there are times at the end of a brutal arm workout I can barely curl 20% of what I start out at
back up boys and girls we have a real bad ass in here. By the way I was wondering how you got your avi up without being banned, I thought women weren't allowed to post topless pics, nice boobs though I always enjoy them even on fat chicksIt's not your beliefs that make you a better person, it's your behavior.

No , what its called is putting someone in their place and showing them they dont know **** about me,my 3 yr old daughter, or what her future holds .so you should stay your ass out of it . You do realize this whole thing started because she responded with some negative **** after i said i agree that this guy might have just started lifting right.....you just wanted to hop on the bandwagon? Think if it was me sayin whoever the kid you have in your picture has no chance, im sure you wouldnt like that would you?
