    Blood work shows 'dehydrated'??

Long story short: passed out for unknown reasons in a bathroom. Think it was related to a stomach bug that I was fighting off since I went in there because I felt like I was about to throw up. Went to the hospital and had blood tests done to see what was going on. They told me [and also claimed it was unrelated] that I was borderline dehydrated.

Keep in mind that I drink about a gallon and a half of water a day, take a standard multivitamin daily, and consume very low carbohydrates daily. I explained my theories and all of this to the doctor and he just shrugged.

Anyone have any idea what could be going on and if maybe consuming so much water and a lack of carbohydrates could come back as "dehydrated"?
    Thanks!

Who told you that you were "borderline dehydrated?" Did they give you an IV with fluids?

The thread title said that the blood work shows dehydration. Please clarify.

The doctor who reported the blood work results to me immediately after my admittance to the hospital.

This was before they gave me the IV. They actually made me stay until they gave me a couple more IV's of fluid to get my fluid balance back to normal, or so they claimed.
I don't have the exact figures to say why it claimed I was 'dehydrated' since I did not ask for access to the reports and I do not know what variables were considered to determine that I was dehydrated. If that's what you're asking.

Preworkouts, Creatine, Muscle Pump products possibly? You need to drink a lot more water on them. If you're not taking them and are drinking over a gallon a day.. don't really see how that's possible

Well, if they gave you a couple bags of fluids, then you must have been dehydrated. Did the doc ask any questions that you answered where he responded with a "hmph" or "whoa" or indicate that that particular factor might have been the problem?

I am confused by the reference to blood work.

Elevated BUN/Cr ratio with the rest of the labs indicating hemoconcentration and maybe some contraction alkalosis (which is another topic all together)...
