Not really sure about it, was talking to a friend who works as a PT and talking about lifting and stuff he was like:
"It would be a good idea to change ur reps to be 20-20-20 for a week every now and then as there are slow-teitch fiber that only grows if u hit them with this approach, they form almost 40% of your body muscles"

There's some truth to that, however, you should realize that the ones that contributes most to muscle size ar type 2 fibers( both a and b), so hitting those should form the core of your workout and once in a while, you can hit the muscles using reallyh high rep ranges..... It's important to note though, that everybody is different, their muscle make up varies as well, so if you are more dominant in slow twitch fiber, then it would be more benefical for u to work in higher rep ranges and vice versa, which is why both methods have been shown to be effective to different individuals.... So is it broscience? I don't think so.... but remember to experiment to see which one is superior for u....
