Lightbulb When should I think about competing?

I posted my before and after pics on my account but I'm not able to post them in the forums yet.. But I would love to get your guys opinions! I've worked really hard over the last year and a half and I'm 40 pounds down.. I have found such a passion for fitness and am now currently studying ACE. Eventually I would love to compete in bikini but right now I'm just working on developing a solid base and learning as much as I can! How far do you guys think I have before I could start thinking about signing up for my first competition?

Right now! There's really no reason to wait unless you would be ridiculously disappointed in yourself if you didn't place 1st in your first show. It's rare for an amateur to win the entire show anyway, so it'd be wise to use your first time on stage as a learning experience. You have a great physique now and have nothing to lose, so find a show a few months away, do a little prepping, work on poses/routines and all that, and go for it!
Don't strive to be better than others. Strive to be better than who you were yesterday.
