The sad part is that there is actually great channels with excellent info out there but like you said if you have a accent or gimmick people will look at you as a guru rather than a guy who has legit info.

Sometimes the gimmick pays off but you need to know when to let it drop. Ogus did his webcam shows back in the day, built an audience, then started again and focused on bodybuilding to end up with a respected channel. Unfortunately some never drop the act/gimmick and it becomes them and yet people love it.

There's a lot more to it than that. I admit if I started taking gear and kept everyhing the same including the intensity of my workouts then I'd grow as long as I got the calories in but to grow past that I would have to train harder. Look at the Olympians, every minute of their lives is bodybuilding, every hour is planned and every workout is brutal. They don't take sterids to make it easier.

He treats weightlifting as though it's life or death and he seems to ignore all pain and scientific reason in the name of being hardcore. Also the fact that his channel is hardly a few months old and he's already gained 100k+ subscribers.


I don't understand all the hate for Ian. He's got an ego but so what, he admits it himself and it takes balls to continue to put yourself out there when everyone is against you. He's dedicated to exposing the truth in the fitness community and that's what he's done. Everyone has seen the meme "expert on making gains, makes no gains" which has some truth to it, but he has stated that he is not overly passionate about bodybuilding like many of us are. He has never monotized any of his videos unlike every other money whoring fitness channel. He has another channel as well where he talks about philosophy and debate, I thoroughly enjoy the videos.

The guys over 250 are drug addicts. Two of my training partners compete at Nationals, I have firsthand experience with this group you're tlaking about. It's impossible not to grow on 5 grams of chit and doesn't require much effort besides the food schedule. The only commitment it takes is being able to tolerate multiple injections per day, the pain of those injections, scar tissue build up, having the internal tolerance for such insane doses, and of course, the money. If you can tolerate those doses, you simply blow up.

But seriously CT has over 100k suscribers in 2 months. His channel is promoted by TheStrenghtProject channel (good channel) and is obviously making a big buck. 120,000 subs and 5 million views in two months is crazy considering that some guys wait years for their channel to grow. My problem with CT is not how he lifts or how he disregards overtraining but he is another guy who claims to be natural with 22 inches of arms (or so he says). And his training Bulo is definitely on gear. Dude has gained like 80 pounds of solid muscle.
