    Recommend a Squat Program

Alright so I am just getting done with the a program, russian squat program, at least that is what it was called on another forum and it is just a three day six week program were I am working at .75 or over every day.

    Tomorrow I have 335 2*2.

I would run this over again as the structure of a program is awesome and I am getting strength gains.

But the summer is coming and I don't think I could hold up to squatting three times a week heavy.

What program do you suggest, I want to keep gaining strength so I will be eating a lot. I am thinking like dead lifts one day a week, front squats one day a week for doubles, and back squat once a week, maybe have the dead lifts before back squat one day so it is a light back squat day, then have another day of heavier back squat.

Let me know what you guys think, or should I just go again on current program but extend it to eight weeks for more rest.

Since that program is giving you success, why not go to the two day a week version if you think you can't handle squatting 3 times a week? I can't post links but you can try to find it. It's the same program but the squatting is spread over 9 weeks instead of 6 with two squat sessions a week instead of 3.

EDIT: google this: cast iron blogspot russian masters squat routine

It should be the first result

Alright we'll you didn't answer my question.

I asked did you mean this or this and you say what else would I mean?

Now if you reread my intial post I say due to fatigue from basketball I would not think I could sqaut with the same intensity three days a week.

How does that not make cents?

Not seeing any reference to basketball or any real reason why you couldn't continue with the current program other then a change of seasons.

In all actuality I am wrong, now after re reading my initial post.

But that program posted earlier will be what I most likely be doing unless anyone has anything that would work better.

I'm a little biased but Madcows intermediate is something I'd recommend. It's somewhat similar to ^^^. Squat Monday/Friday, DL+light squats Wednesday. I've seen some people substitute the light Wednesday squats with Front squats.

Or just stick with what you're doing if you're seeing good progress.

I just got done running sheiko (most the time squatting at 90% 3x a week) and still played tennis 6/7 nights for about 2 hours with my wife. If anything, it got blood pumping and kept me loose. But if it really bother you, just squat twice a week. Or one hard and one dynamic or something

Or just stick with what you're doing if you're seeing good progress.
Thanks will look into this. I am thinking of running the russian masters program with a day of deads + front squats in the middle.

Thanks will l look into this as well.

Tennis is good stuff, I think my body will probably get used to the basketball. I have played twice so far since the weathers been nicer and my whole body was sore, for days, feet back and legs.
