In college right now in a pretty liberal area and many of my professors are very liberal. I Always thought of my self to be pretty liberal growing up too. Now I just disagree with a lot of my professors say not because its not true its just that, I agree we are becoming pussies and seeing how opposite we are from successful nations. liberals dont understand that there are absolutes in the world. they think everything should be decided based on feelings. black people is a fantastic example of this. the civil rights bill passed in 63 (i think) was the worst thing that happened to black people in this country. there was some stuff in it that ws necessary (repealing jim crow laws and such) but the liberals went so far it was counter productive. blacks made more gains economically and socially the 10 years preceding the bill then the ten years after. thomas sowell has a video where he discusses how affirmative action ruined black success by making it seem illegitimate. he went from being the most respected professor at ucla in his field to having students question him on meanings of passages from a book he himself wrote. instead of seeing a black man in that position and thinking wow, he must be great at what he does if hes black and made it this far, people started seeing him as a black man that got a job for being black. the welfare system has destroyed the black family. in the early 60s the black child legitimacy rate was 80%, now its 20%. the welfare check has literally taken the place of the black father. liberals dont think of the actual consequences of things, they just want to do what sounds good at the time.

for a fiscal example, look at the great depression. ucla came out with a study that says fdr extended the great depression by 7 years by throwing money at it and trying to fix it (sound familiar to anything recent anyone?). contrast that with the depression of 1920. it started off even worse in some ways than the great depression, but instead of trying to fix it through the government the government got out of the way, drastically lowered taxes, drastically cut spending, and the nation boomed. roaring twenties anyone?
