I play Hockey... and workouts for Hockey are very leg specific, so my legs are constantly sore... and no matter how I shift my workouts I always seem to be especially sore on the day of a game, which affects my skating. What can I do to effectively reduce the soreness in my legs so that I can continue to workout my legs...? I don't want to give up leg workouts, but its greatly affecting my play

This lots and lots of stretching
I played high level travel and juniors and have had the same problem
Focus more on cardio such as a stationary bike with resistance for about 30 min at a constant pace, any workouts with weights wait until you have a day or so in between games. Say a game is on a Friday, do some weights on Tuesday or Wednesday and then until the game do some bike and a lot of stretching
