Any of you do BJJ and compete? I have my first tournament on the 20th I am excited yet nervous. Any advice to stay calm and stay really focused?

Can you explain what exactly a BJJ class entails? I'm wanting to learn it but idk what I'll be getting myself into...

As for classes they are fun if it's something you want to really fun. It's a martial art that really focuses on submissions such as arm bars, knee bars, rear necked chokes, ect. Gotta have patience with it since it's something new. Personally I try to learn atleast one new choke/submission a week and practice the heck out if it and then the proper way to get out of it. I will be competing in the 170-190 Novice (people with 6 months and less of experience) division.
