Grats on the gym PR! Don't worry about your butt coming up, either tuck your feet more or widen them out until it doesn't.

Nice work.
I feel your pain literally and figuratively speaking when it comes to back pain and deadlifting.
I will probably switch back to sumo at some point myself and just use GHR and SLDL for assistance.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

booty poppin might also have occured to "leg driving" wrong. think more of pushing the floor away from you, than pushing down into the floor if that makes sense.
275 is nice. between you and coocoocachoo i at least feel OK about my bench even though you're both stronger lol.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

yeah my feet positioning needs to change regardless I'm not getting great leg drive as is and now got butt coming up will definitely play with both tucking more and widening thanks
yeah bench is so hard it's ridiculous. I was king of the benching world in my own head like 8 months ago I couldn't be stopped then all of a sudden I hit a wall and started going backwards. If you would have told 8 months ago me that I wasn't even close to a 300 bench right now I'd laugh at you the way I was going. FML
Yeah I think I'm just gonna go with alternating each week and then setting up a peak with just conventional when I pick my next meet. I really need to take the time to work on strengthening my lower back that's for sure
I wish my gym had a GHR amongst other things
lol yeah your bench is heading in the right direction though mine has been stalling forever.
I also am pretty sure you're stronger now I could barely manage 315x5 on squats the other day ffs lol I just always seem to perform well at meets, I'm a gamer I've always done better at sports under pressure especially golf for some reason. I've played in probably 100 tournaments in my life and every first tee you get jitters because there's like 50+ people watching and I think I've piped every single drive lifetime in that spot. But yeah same goes for PL, squats especially I get those jitters and they always seem to help I've only missed 1 squat ever and that was a misload of 11 poundsLog -> http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153108621

PR UPDATE
Comp Bench:
265x2 @9-9.5 PR
I took a real strange bar path on second rep but the weight moved real nice. I didn't even consider going for 3 (cause I thought 2 was going to be tough) then I racked it and thought wait why did I rack it and the spotter said the same thing. Oh well, real pumped, I may go for 275 next week but I'm gonna be out of town friday-tues so that may screw my lifting schedule up
I think I'm probably 6-8 pounds lighter too
Will do, I'll start looking in a bit for one end of year.Log -> http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153108621

yep. going to keep losing for awhile despite already being a skinny punk by PL standards. I think a lifetime of weight 160-170 has just made my body hate being over 200 even though again I know that's not overweight or anything. I just feel way better overall closer to 190ish and I'm not setting any records ever so I may as well feel as good as possible

I am in the same boat as you.
My set point seems to be a really high BW, but I always feel ****ty when I am too far over 200.
I'm trying to get back in the 185-200 range as well. Then I can either hover and try to compete at 85kg or enjoy some eating into 95kg.
But I would prefer the lighter weight, just due to the overall better wellbeing that I feel.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.
