Currently looking for a new apartment. Most 1 bedrooms around here go for $600-700 with all utils included, plus the $40ish for internet. Could get a 2 BR that would come to $450 per person with all that included.
Make ~$1500/mo (1,200 work and ~300 school loan refund for living expenses)
Car is paid off
Insurance and phone are ~$150/mo
Food- $200
$200 for extra expenses
Leaves me about a grand to use for rent and saving. Probably going to go the roommate route for another year until I get a better part time job.

THIS! Fking Boston rent prices are out of control. I'm making ~$6k/month after taxes and living at home (working for my father's business that's run out of the house and a small one that I just launched).
I was going to move into the city with a friend but a decent 2 bedroom with more than 850 sq feet runs $2700+ (Back Bay/South End/Downtown/North End/Cambridge) and that's not even including a parking space which can run from 200-300$... I want to move out but is it even worth it to blow that much money on rent every month? Shi.t is insane...
