If 30 or so people (200+ lbs) charged a gorilla and knocked it down, I'm sure they could probably kill it if they got to the eyes. Tear out an eye or two and not only will the gorilla be in horrible pain, but it won't be able to see people from all sides come up and hit it in the throat enough times to maybe kill it.
