Big thanks to Dewey and nugget5 for making this review possible. Your generosity shall not go unnoticed . Also big ups to Dirk and neuron for using/identifying the merits of Amentoflavone, which are quite numerous. As promised to Dewey, my first post back will be a review of Uncut, one of the few products that I've truly been excited to try in the past year. Without further ado:
So thanks to the 25 capsule trial size bottle that I was given, I was able to try Uncut in a variety of situations. 1 cap, 2 caps, 3 caps. 2 caps + 25mg ephedrine. 3 caps + 25mg 1,3D.
This evaluation will be for Uncut in isolation, with notes added for complementary ingredients.
Energy
I am incredibly stim-tolerant, and this was reflected by the fact 1 capsule of Uncut basically had me at baseline. Not tired, not energized. 2 capsules of Uncut honestly felt like 250mg caffeine. I wasn't quite getting "extra" stim kick. But then 3 caps...I realize this is a lot of caffeine, but for me, not so much. The energy I got from Uncut did seem to have more to it than simply caffeine, likely due to a nootropic effect from the cholinergics. With 1,3D, the energy was even better as I suspected, as the stage was set for optimal SNS activation. Overall, energy was a solid component of the formula for me.
8/10
Focus
I saw a lot of rave reviews for focus, but for whatever reason, my responses echoed that of the energy effects. I didn't get much of any focus at 1 or 2 caps, but at 3 caps, I got a strong, in-the-zone type of feel. For me, this was not a strong suit of the product, but my primary goal when using a preworkout is to enhance performance (strength/endurance).
7/10
Pumps
Again, not a big deal for me, and anecdotally, I did not get a crazy pump out of Uncut. I'd say it was about average at 2-3 caps, and WELL above average when stacked with ephedrine.
7/10
Strength
By this point in the review, you're probably thinking that I didn't much enjoy Uncut and that it's time to move on to the next review. So it may be a little surprising to you that I bought my first preworkout product in one year last week...and that preworkout product was a full-size Uncut. The reason is simple: it increases strength.
Yes, caffeine has demonstrated time and time again that it can improve strength. But amentoflavone takes it to another level. By increasing cytoplasmic availability of Ca2+ in skeletal muscle (and probably cardiac as well), the force of contraction on an action potential-per-action potential basis goes up tremendously. I suspected stacking Uncut with a b-agonist like ephedrine would further bolster this effect...and it did. What's more: this effect was felt from the very first use as the data would dictate (it's an acute effect, and normal skeletal muscle mechanics eventually take hold and take you back to a baseline Ca2+ response to an AP). It was very cool that when I compared my results with pro PLer Nom Z, he too noticed that his PRs, which are fairly well-established due to his training experience, increased after just one use of Uncut. Very cool effect and worth every penny.
My sweet spot for performance enhancement ended up being 2 caps Uncut + 25mg Ephedrine HCl. The strength gains were roughly equatable to creatine: 1-2 reps more at equal weight. Which is fairly significant (10-20% increase on a 10 rep set).
10/10
Overall, I would suggest this product to others, as I have already picked up another bottle myself and will continue to use it. Thanks again to Dewey, Nugget, and the App Nut team!

Welcome back Coop!
Thanks for the honest review and the explanation on how it affects strength. The fact that you bought a bottle says everything to me. Anybody who knows you is well aware that you can get just about anything you want for free (or make it yourself!), so when you buy something it means a lot.
It's great to have you back on the forum. Your knowledge and perspective has been sorely missed!RIP in Peace

Excellent review, I've been using UNCUT for the past 2 days but actually for cardio. Going to hit the weights tomorrow to see the strength effects.
I am enjoying UNCUT more than PES Enhanced for whatever that's worth. God of POF Crew

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. Feels good to be back
They honestly both have their merits. You should try flipping the two:
Enhanced pre-cardio for the benefits of alpha-2-antagonism on fat loss + the benefits of nitrates on aerobic capacity.
Uncut pre-weights for the effects of Ca2+ release on force of contraction.

Welcome back broski. Ucnut is one of my favorite preworkouts cause it just flat out works. The first time I used it I set a PR and there was no looking back.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

Thanks again everyone.
domore, contractility is a phenomenon mediated primarily by the SR and Ca++, but nitrates can improve anaerobic work capacity by aiding in the delivery of oxygen to hypoxic tissue, therefore accelerating an energetic shift to the more sustainable aerobic metabolism. Improved vasodilation would also result in more rapid waste removal (i.e. acid).
