BTW I forgot to mention that on Friday, April 12th I received an envelope from Crain's Muscle World through USPS.
It contained a bill and a catalog.

Thank you for the concern. This won't be a problem as I am in excellent standing with my credit card account and have a solid fraud and liability plan.

"I've been watching the tracking number that you provided all day and the package has yet to move since the label was created on Thursday April 18, 2013.
This is extremely dissapointing. I really feel like I'm being taken advantage of and based on what feedback I've recently come across about Crain's Muscle World, this seems to be the norm. I am not going to be strung along forever and I'm not going to be scammed. If the bar does not ship by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 I will not be accepting the charge. The order will be over and done and I'll have washed my hands with this mess.

Just so you aware, I have been documenting this purchase in detail from day one on bodybuilding.com. I sent you the link in the very first email but you didn't seem to realize what it was that I directed you towards. It would really be in your best interest to make sure that I recieve a top notch barbell and soon. This is not a threat, it's simply me giving you one FINAL opportunity to give me something good to say about your company. I am a respected member of those forums and alot of people are following this review thread. It's not going to benefit either of us for me to end up without a bar.

In good news, I took Xeph's suggestion and took out some aggression on a PR today. I hit a SMOOTH 25lb double overhand improvement for a 460lb single (15lbs lower than strapped grinder) ON MY TEXAS POWER BAR .. This lift officially puts me in the multitraining day 1k powerlifting total club. Can't wait to see what I can do WITH A DEADLIFT BAR.

So, now I'm being told that the bar is scheduled for delivery by the end of today. It is entirely possible that this is a mixup with the tracking system as I have been provided a link that say as much, even though when I enter the number it shows no movement.

Let's hope that's correct.

I've had this happen on numerous occasions with both UPS and USPS, so it's definitely a possibility.

The numbers are identical. I've triple checked.

Despite the time stamp that the photos show, I've just refreshed each and neither has changed.

There appear to be multiple differences between them.. I'd be very interested in any observations that anyone may have.

BT3R, this has been one heck of a thread to follow bro'. I hope it all works out for you, but I know someone that I will never order a bar from, lol. I received a TPB from Troy years ago, ups tracking never worked, the bar arrived two weeks late, the tube was shredded, (mostly gone), a customer Service was horrible at all levels. I still really like the bar, but will never buy anything from Troy again.

Customer Service is real important to me, especially since very few products are that much better than others.

I was so tempted to go get the bar and ship it for you when I saw that you were still proceeding with the order. Atleast then you would have known it was actually shipped. Sorry to hear about your troubles man. I really wish something posstive could come out of this deal but all of his responses just seem like he's beating around the bush.

What really sucks is that his product is obviously well liked, he is just too dumb and uncaring to do anything about it. If anyone else decides to buy one of these things let me know and I can personally go pick the bar up and ship it, shawnee is on the way to my lakehouse so it wouldn't be of any hassle.

Bottom line, you ordered the bar on the 3rd and was told on the 4th that the bar was in stock. Crain said processing would take 3 days max and shipping should take 5 days max. You should have recieved the bar on the 12th. It is now the 23rd and there is still no guarantee that Crain has even shipped it yet, even though Crain knows that you are publically documenting this story on bb.com. I hope your patience is soon rewarded with a top quality product. It is just a shame that it has played out this way.

Furthermore, once they found out that the package had gotten wet, they should have placed a new bar in a new shipping tube and shipped it immediately.

The bar was delivered today around 11:00AM.



Heavy duty cardboard tubing.

Evidence that the previous package really had gotten wet. Considering how thoroughly oiled the bar was, this moisture was not really an issue (though it would obviously be ideal if it wasn't there).



Mirin my shaft? Abort! The misc has infiltrated!

Machined sleeve that should look familiar to Texas Power Bar owners.


The bad news:





I've talked to Rickey on the phone and he assured me that the bar stock that he uses would not have this type of deviation. He suggested that I was seeing deviation in the interface of the sleeve and shaft but I was sure that the issue was the shaft itself and told him this. Though, obviously dissapointed, he suggested that the bar had been damaged in transit. Tomorrow, he will be instructing UPS to come pick up the bar from me. He has a one bar in stock that he has put on hold for me and says that he will ship it as soon as UPS gives him confirmation of the bar being picked up from my adress.
