Smile Newbie question

I keep reading and hearing buzzwords thrown around on the forums but don't fully understand what they mean so I am posting this here.

1. What does the term "clean food" mean..does it mean simply healthy food or is there more to it?

2. What is a "stack"

3. What does it mean to "cut"..I understand what bulking is, just no idea how you cut..

Most of the forums and articles I have read so far are written with the assumption the reader knows what they are talking about Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1. Clean food can mean a variety of things. On these forums, everyone basically has the same idea of what clean food is. Thing is, people here eat the upmost best foods you can possibly get at a supermarkey. Foods like bleached carbs, saturated fats, and high sugary foods are obviously a no-no. Whole wheat, low sugar, and good fatty foods (like peanut butter or salmon) are always a plus. There are a huge variety of clean foods, it's just up to you to pick which ones work best for you. A "clean" food for one person might not be considered "clean" for another.

2. Don't know

3. Cutting is simply dieting. Though it's a little more than that, that's ultimately what it is. You're "cutting" bodyfat, but at the same time trying to maintain as much muscle as you can. Cutting usually takes place after a bulk since on a bulk a person might gain a substantial amount of bodyfat.

Hope that helps, except for question 2.

Clean food / Not Clean food

whole wheat pasta / kraft dinner
honey / table sugar
chicken breast / breaded fried chicken burger
Oats / Frosted flakes
fat free sugar free yogurt / jello pudding
whole grain or sprouted grain bread / white bread

etc.

hope that clears it up...

and yes a stack is a combination of supplements that someone could claim work well together...you shouldnt worry about that until you get nutrition down. Only "supplements" you want starting out is whey protein for after your workouts, some gatorade or dextrose for after your workout and some fish oil or flaxseed oil.

Edit: and a multivitamin lol
