It's an interesting article that I just finished reading since I can't fall asleep.

Basically, it talks about how the number of Americans "snapping" and needing psychotropic drugs is related to the amount of stress in people's lives (duh). It further compares all of the Second Amendment bashing to a sideshow to attack what many Americans have believed as fundamental as a way to cause stress. The current administration is trying to fundamentally shift the U.S. economy and way of life from one of a free-market capitalist society to one of a socialist/wealth-redistribution society.

There's more to it, but I'm going to try my hand at sleep one more time.

If you don't own NV, the 512 is a better buy. I have both, and I like them better than my 517 and 556, which sit slightly higher. The 512/552 sits at about absolute co-witness height, 517/556 at lower 1/3, but unlike the Aimpoint the square window of an Eotech makes the lower co-witness more awkward. Also, one little advertised issue with the Eotech I've found is that the reticle is brightest in the middle of the glass, and towards the botton where the irons co-witness it is significantly less bright which makes it potentially an issue in bright daylight.

I just picked up a whole boatload of Aimpoints, and sadly I'm beginning to think that I probably like the Aimpoints a bit better than my Eotechs now. The ACOGs are really good glass, but not nearly as practical for me as the reflex/holo/red dot unmagnified optics.

If any large corporations are to blame for mass shootings, its drug companies, Doctors are given so many incentives to prescribe as much medicine as they possibly can, so they diagnose every kid with a bullchit disorder. So many crazies that do **** like shootings can be tied to taking anxiety, depression, ect drugs. Someone posted a link somewhere a couple months ago showing this.

I really like my eotech. The ring makes it super easy to acquire targets quickly. The only downside is the Aimpoint battery life shts all over the Eotech. I also have never used an Aimpoint so my pov is one sided. One of my friends is getting an Aimpoint pro so I can't wait to try it out. Sounds like there is alot of Aimpoint love round here so who knows, maybe I'll make the switch when I actually get to check it out, but I'm happy with the eotech and don't forsee that changing.

Edit:the combo uppers that already come with rails are usually pretty good deals since they come with lo pro gas blocks and they save you the work of doing it yourself unless that's something your wanting to do
