No idea. Seriously - does anyone have a clear idea of how much they gained their first year? :P
I gained like 50 pounds of mass. And I ended up like a fat fuk to be honest. How much was muscle? Seriously no idea. Maybe 20lb? Maybe 15lb? I imagine those numbers are reasonable for any novice.Owner of:

Almost exactly 10 pounds with no increase in body fat (I was a 130 pound twig as a noob).
This was on a half-assed home-brew routine doing 45+ sets a day, 6 days a week, and eating totally wrong. I think I must have built that muscle out of little more than thin air and sheer determination. It sure wasn't from my training and nutrition "knowledge."No brain, no gain.

The first year, on a very stupid lifting program but at least having nutrition dialed in, still managed +6lb LBM, holding net BF relatively constant. The next year, with a better program + nutrition, +10lb LBM, net +2% BF. At a supposedly "non-hormonally-anabolic" age bracket (just slightly under 50)
