    Strength goals

Hey guys, I need some guidelines as to how much time I need to reach my goals.

    I'm 19, weigh 167 lbs at 5 11'. My 1 RMs are 190/285/315 on bench/squat/deadlift.

I'm on a 5x5 program till my lifts reach 225/315/365-405, then I'll go on some version of 5/3/1.

Provided I train balls to the walls and eat like a pig, how much will it take me to reach 315/405/495 on my lifts? (no cutting while I do this, just bulking)

Not even a rough estimate? Surely you guys have seen beginners with average genetics go up in lifts and noticed how much it took them to get there.

all of those could simply be fixed by proper form i suppose. bare minimum a few months while learning good form and upwards of infinity if you stop lifting, get injured, etc. seriously, there isn't an estimate.. JUST GO DO IT

also screw "average" genetics.... consistent hard work beats that out every time.

well let's see. you are on a 5x5 program which adds either 5 lbs per workout or week. this is simple ****ing algebra do the god damn math

btw you are really selling yourself short on the limits of a 5x5/linear progression program
    gym lifts/competition lifts

    squat ???/650
    bench 545/435
    deadlift 600/601

Isn't linear progression best for me since I'm at the beginner stage? I'll get on 5/3/1 once I reach 225/315/365-405.

Ah, ok. So how long would you recommend doing linear progression? Should I just do it till my lifts stall out for like a month?

basically. when you hit a large stall period then reset and go until you stall again.

Set short and long term goals and work towards them.

In the last 9 months I have been cutting from 190lbs. 2 weeks ago I get a 1k total - 225 Bench/350 squat/425 sumo-dead. Not even lifting 1 year, and first 4-5 months I was doing all isolations and had no idea what I was doing. I hit numbers that I didn't expect. Like someone mentioned don't sell yourself short, you may freaking surprise yourself. Just bust ass, and work hard.
