I'm looking to see if any one has had experience with doing a calorie restricted diet during the week (perhaps incorporating fasting as well) in order to allow for binges on the weekends and to foster anabolic growth via production of GH, insulin resistance on weekdays, massive carb loads on weekends.
Also, hypothetically speaking, could one achieve clean bulking or cutting simply by balancing weekly caloric intake rather than trying to follow a daily continuum. All evidence points to yes since the body is constantly in a state of energy balance and not just at one point in time. Thanks all.

I eat a little less during the week to compensate for going out on the weekends, but doing strategic cheat days and such isnt going to do anything but foster an eating disorder

Well, to be honest, OP is not (completely) crazy. There are diets out there that utilize very low carb/low cal intake for a few days (ultimate diet 2.0, leangains, etc), followed by a day or two of reloading. But in these diets you usually have to control fat intake, which alot of people don't do and instead they go on an all-you-can-eat spree for 2-3 days.
