    Strategic Cheating Diet

I'm looking to see if any one has had experience with doing a calorie restricted diet during the week (perhaps incorporating fasting as well) in order to allow for binges on the weekends and to foster anabolic growth via production of GH, insulin resistance on weekdays, massive carb loads on weekends.

Also, hypothetically speaking, could one achieve clean bulking or cutting simply by balancing weekly caloric intake rather than trying to follow a daily continuum. All evidence points to yes since the body is constantly in a state of energy balance and not just at one point in time. Thanks all.

Yes the body doesn't work on an exact 24 hour period. There is no set period but don't go to stupid extreme examples like some people do who think you can eat a months calories in one day lol

    Ultimate Diet 2.0

You get to eat 800-1000g of carbs on your re-feed day, depending on your size of course

I wouldn't say a massive carb load over the whole weekend would be beneficial. Maybe just incorporating extra carbs throughout the day with one actual "cheat" meal.

I eat a little less during the week to compensate for going out on the weekends, but doing strategic cheat days and such isnt going to do anything but foster an eating disorder

Well, to be honest, OP is not (completely) crazy. There are diets out there that utilize very low carb/low cal intake for a few days (ultimate diet 2.0, leangains, etc), followed by a day or two of reloading. But in these diets you usually have to control fat intake, which alot of people don't do and instead they go on an all-you-can-eat spree for 2-3 days.

Ok, yes their are reefeds, but are they binges?

No, their controlled refeeds for a purpose, not for enjoyment.

Same here, best method to go by if you ask me. Gives me a little wiggle room when saturday night comes to know no negative effects will come from say having an extra piece of this or that.
